टाटा स्टील के निदेशक मंडल साइरस मिस्त्री को कंपनी के चेयरमैन पद से हटा दिया है, उनके स्थान पर स्वतंत्र निदेशक ओ पी भट्ट को अंतरिम व्यवस्था के तहत नया चेयरमैन नियुक्त किया गया है.

देश के सबसे भारतीय स्टेट बैंक के पूर्व चेयरमैन ओ पी भट्ट ईजीएम का नतीजा आने तक चेयरमैन पद पर बने रहेंगे। टाटा स्टील ने शुक्रवार को बताया कि उसके बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्स ने साइरस मिस्त्री को कंपनी के चेयरमैन पद से हटाने का फैसला किया है. उनकी जगह स्वतंत्र निदेशक ओपी भट्ट अंतरिम चेयरमैन होंगे.
टाटा स्टील के निदेशक मंडल साइरस मिस्त्री को कंपनी के चेयरमैन पद से हटा दिया है। उनके स्थान पर स्वतंत्र निदेशक ओ पी भट्ट को अंतरिम व्यवस्था के तहत नया चेयरमैन नियुक्त किया गया है। इससे पहले इस्पात क्षेत्र की इस प्रमुख कंपनी ने 11 नवंबर को कहा था कि उसके निदेशक मंडल ने टाटा संस में नेतृत्व में बदलाव पर संज्ञान लिया है और उसे प्रवर्तक तथा प्रमुख शेयरधारक से साइरस मिस्त्री तथा नुस्ली वाडिया को कंपनी के निदेशक पद से हटाने के लिए असाधारण आमसभा (ईजीएम) बुलाने को कहा है। कंपनी ने शेयर बाजारों को भेजी सूचना में कहा, ‘कंपनी के निदेशक मंडल ने 25 नवंबर, 2016 को सर्कुलर प्रस्ताव के जरिये बहुमत से साइरस पी मिस्त्री को बोर्ड के चेयरमैन पद से तत्काल हटाने का फैसला किया। उनके स्थान पर स्वतंत्र निदेशक ओ पी भट्ट को बोर्ड का चेयरमैन नियुक्त किया गया है।’
देश के सबसे भारतीय स्टेट बैंक के पूर्व चेयरमैन ओ पी भट्ट ईजीएम का नतीजा आने तक चेयरमैन पद पर बने रहेंगे। कंपनी ने कहा, ‘भट्ट की चेयरमैन के रूप में नियुक्ति बेहतर कारपोरेट गवर्नेंस के सिद्धान्तों को ध्यान में रखकर और कंपनी को एक पक्षपातरहित नेतृत्व प्रदान करने के लिए किया है।’ टाटा स्टील ने कहा कि इस फैसले से कंपनी में स्थिरता भी सुनिश्चित होगी और यह टाटा स्टील के अंशधारकों के व्यापक हित में हैं। शेयर बाजारों को अलग से भेजी सूचना में कंपनी ने कहा है कि उसके निदेशक मंडल ने 21 दिसंबर को असाधारण आम बैठक बुलाई है जिसमें मिस्त्री और नुस्ली वाडिया को निदेशक से हटाने पर विचार किया जाएगा। टाटा संस की टाटा स्टील में 29.75 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी है।
टाटा संस ने इंडियन होटल्स के शेयरधारकों से मिस्त्री को हटाने को कहा
टाटा संस ने ताज ग्रुप ऑफ होटल्स का परिचालन करने वाली इंडियन होटल्स कंपनी लि. (आईएचसीएल) से प्रस्ताव किया है कि साइरस पी मिस्त्री को कंपनी के निदेशक पद से हटाया जाए। टाटा संस ने कहा है कि मिस्त्री ने पूरे समूह के अलावा आईएचसीएल तथा उसके शेयरधारकों को भारी नुकसान पहुंचाया है। टाटा समूह की इस होल्डिंग कंपनी की ओर से 20 दिसंबर को असाधारण आमसभा (ईजीएम) के लिए बढ़ाए गए प्रस्ताव में कहा गया है कि मिस्त्री ने टाटा संस के चेयरमैन पद से हटाए जाने के बाद कुछ आधारहीन आरोप लगाए हैं, जिससे न सिर्फ टाटा संस लि. और उसके निदेशक मंडल, बल्कि टाटा समूह को नुकसान हुआ है। आईएचसीएल इसका आंतरिक हिस्सा है।
टाटा संस ने कहा कि मिस्त्री ने गोपनीय बातचीत को सार्वजनिक किया है। इससे टाटा समूह, आईएचसीएल और उसके अंशधारकों (कर्मचारियों और शेयरधारकों सहित) को काफी नुकसान हुआ है। शेयर बाजारों को भेजी सूचना में आईएचसीएल ने कहा कि उसकी असाधारण आम बैठक 20 दिसंबर, 2016 को होगी, जिसमें मिस्त्री को कंपनी के निदेशक पद से हटाने पर विचार किया जाएगा। मिस्त्री अभी आईएचसीएल के चेयरमैन पद पर बने हुए हैं। ईजीएम में मिस्त्री को बैठक की तारीख से कंपनी के निदेशक से हटाने के प्रस्ताव पर विचार और उसके पारित किया जाएगा।
